Ready for the new year

so i sold one item tonight, not much profit as i would like but at least it's something instead of nothing. because something is always better than nothing. well we're still training at the spa and i just want to know what my schedule is going to be like so it can be arranged with my babysitter(inlaw). if only i could take her to the daycare, i would but im not rich yet. i know she wasn't too excited when i told her it was a stabled job. sorry, but i need stability so we can move out of this damn apartment. back to the spa, i am so excited to see and be able to work in this luxury spa. it's going to be so much fun because its the beauty business and i'm passionate about it. anyways, i went to walmart and bought more drinks. something new because im into mixing new drinks, hopefully they taste good. its too bad we can't go on the strip to see the fireworks bcuz we got no sitter. oh well maybe another time. im hoping to visit Maui for the holidays next year cuz its just not the same here. i want to be with people that i actually want to talk to and have fun and i love being around alot of people and that is what home in Maui is. you know what, i live here in vegas to be independent and im ready for this new year. to pursue life better and changing people's lives. which is Eleven spa philosphy. well that's all for now. ill be starting a new blog exclusively for my 2 favorites things: fashion & beauty.

waiting for the new year to come

in a few days, it will be 2009 and i'm looking forward to it. i'm very optimistic about the upcoming year. i got my xmas wish and that was my spa job. i was going to get an iphone but instead i went shopping for random things. i really wanted a MAC holiday set but they ran out in the stores and online. btw, today i went to Fashion Show mall and it was crazy looking for parking. i went to Macys and F21 and i didn't really find anything i wanted but i just bought a couple of accessories at Forever21 because i didn't want to waste all that time driving and looking for parking for nothing. so i headed up to Rainbow n 215 and i bought a few stuffs. it was nice to go shopping with out my Angel because i can't really shop when she's with me. well enough about that.

back to new years, im definitely drinking. drink the stress away of 2008 and to celebrate the new year of 2009 and hopefully it'll be the best year i'll have in vegas. i can't wait to move into a bigger place before my birthday and get a full size suv or maybe my dream car a "BMW". well i'm looking forward to my new job, new friends, creating new things, and living life better.

its 1010 pm and i'm already sleepy. i finally watched the dvd i rented The Dark Knight. it was really good i just wished i had some popcorn and arare to eat. anyways, im not liking my work schedule this week at my new spa training. i felt like i should have worked at mirage instead. anyways, i hope next week will be better because i got bills to pay. so i had the day off today and angel and i went shopping. bought my brother's gift and some shipping supplies. im happy that i can bring angel with me anywhere w/out the stroller now. the only thing is when she wants to get out of the cart, it makes it harder on me to watch her. oh well, that's just how she is. well in just 2 weeks it will be 2009. im looking forward to it because i want our lives to be better. ill be having a new job, shortly we'll be moving into a bigger place, and hopefully get to trade in for a better suv. anyways, i hope things will be better than the past 2 years i've been here already. it's been a rollercoaster ride for me and i want to get off quick. well that's all for now. gots to watch my E channel.

my first day at my new job

i was working at mirage again and they wanted me to work full time from dec till end of feb. i had to look for something stabled and i found one after my first day back again at mirage. i was super excited to be able to work in a spa and salon and working with a team who has the same interests as you. anyways, i went to work at mirage on monday and had to tell everyone i was leaving. i was sad and happy. i was sad because i was leaving my friends and getting a lower pay. i was happy because this was my wish this year and it came true which is to find a stabled job and of course working in my dream environment a spa/salon. if i get more experience in the spa, i may go and apply in the new MGM property opening next year. i'll just give it a try to see how it is. well anyways, i met up with everyone in the spa and its still under construction. we had to train in the warehouse and i met my team and everyone's cool. i was on the spot because i was new and i had to introduce myself. and then i embarrased myself when the owner was asking the new hires to stand up but i wasn't supposed to because it was only for the people who had new nicknames. anyways, it's done. and now everyone will know me. well i went to fashion show mall to check out my stores, it was tempting to buy something but i couldn't cause i dont need those things and i'm broke too. well that's all for now. goodnite!

What am I thankful for?

it's 1 am and i am still up as always on my laptop while watching E channel on tv. i really need to learn to start sleeping earlier because i'm finally going to be working again at the mirage on monday. today it was actually raining in Vegas which is very rare. anyways, its Thanksgiving and i am very thankful to being alive and for my hubby and baby girl for always being there with me. i'm thankful for the love and happiness of my family and friends even if they are miles and miles away. i'm definitely thankful for the things that i have because some people don't have those and i'm blessed to enjoy what is given to me in life. even if the economy is down, i am so thankful to the Lord for his love, my family, food and just being happy to be living.

i ruined my goal for november that i would not buy any makeup product, but i did. so i decided that in december i will not buy any makeup product. today i went to walgreens and ended up buying wet n wild tinted moisturizer in natural and purple eye pencil all for $5. i have until sunday to buy any makeup products so MAC and ULTA here i come.

yesterday, angel and i went to bargain shopping and i ended up buying a dress,jacket, 2 scarves and angel's toy for $50. i just can't help myself when it comes to shopping and fashion. i just need to look in my closet and tell myself that i don't have any more space for more clothes and i need to save up for better things like my dream house and car. that is my new years resolution to move in a house and get my dream car within the year 2009. even though living in this apartment saves us at least $200 a month, i think it is such as waste. it's only a 1br and garage is detached. as opposed to getting a house thats 3br with 2 car garage for less than $1100. when january comes, we're house hunting. a house is something i really want so i can give up the things like fashion and makeup for awhile until i have that house and car. well thats all for now. ill post pics later. i'm going to start doing youtube videos of my makeup and fashion stuffs soon since i found my camera battery charger. yay!

i ruined my goal...

so i told myself i would not buy any beauty product includes hair, makeup or nail products for the whole month of November. but i couldn't resist the temptation and ended up buying an eyeshadow. also, the new Mac Holiday is out and i want to go and get it. but i'll wait till the end of the month because that's when we'll go shopping. red is my color for this christmas because i bought this cute dress w/coat that's red & black and i figured we'll match colors. red is a color of christmas right? anyways, this christmas, i really want an APPLE IPHONE. i don't know if i want a white or black one? still thinking about it. there's so much things that i would love to have, but i really want to get the things that i've been longing for so long and that is a better car. im thankful i do have a car, but i want to be able to pay for something i really wanted. another thing i must get before my birthday next year is to move into a HOUSE. i can't wait to move out of this apartment. we need more space and i want to feel like a second home rather than a place to live. vegas is ok. its just not the same without my family like my parents, bros, cousins, aunts, uncles and all the kids. i have a big family back on maui and we just have fun together. anyways its already 135 i should be sleeping. no water at 9 am who knows when it'll be back up.

i have not blogged in such a long time. i have so much pictures and stuffs to share but i've been doing other things so i haven't been writing as much as i would like. anyways, angel and i are back from maui since monday morning. we've done a lot. mostly shopping which is not good because we need to save up for the holidays and of course moving into a house before the end of our lease. i can't wait to move into a house in april. that would be the best birthday present i ever have. to live in our own house me jan and angel.
this afternoon we went to LV outlet center on warm springs/las vegas blvd. since our 2 yr anniversary is coming up, jan decided that he will finally buy my diamond ring that i wanted since we no longer will have the wedding of my dreams at least a wedding ring of my dreams. anyways, we went to zales, but they only had 2 ct which is way too expensive, i just wanted the 1 ct so we're going to check out the other outlet store and hopefully they have it. we checked out some stores but, didn't buy anything even though i did find some fashion clothing at wetseal that i wanted. im glad that i saw a Converse store, because Angel now has a pair of chucks like jan and i have. its cool that we all now have chucks!

my 1st week of vacation in maui

angel and i arrived in oahu around 530 am and actually arrived at our final destination in maui around 830. this is how it started. we arrived at the airport around 1230 and there was a line and i had to push angel stroller along with my check in luggage all by myself. it was stressful because she wanted to get out of her stroller. at the security gate, someone was kind enough to help me with the folding of the stroller. i think i may just give jan my laptop to bring back home because i dont want to carry it on my backpack. anyways, we went to zippys to eat and saw lis w/the bf. went to walmart to buy stuffs for angel and i. went to costco to buy food for the bbq. came home around 12 or 1. angel and i took a nap. i cooked and cousins w/kids came over and that was just thursday.

friday-
i went to costco to print out the invites but i didn't bring the actual memory stick to insert the duo so that was a waste of time. then went to walmart and found out they didn't have the vases for my centerpieces. so i just bought some stuffs. we went home. then on friday night i drop my mom to the fair and then went to costco again and found out i needed to get a photo copy of release for the invite. target was already closed so went to kmart. of course, i was surprised they had posh brushes and milani cosmetics. i did buy a posh mini brush set for $14.99. ill post pics later. then i went home around 8. stayed home till 1245 when my mom got home and went out w/my cuz and friend to the bar. just had one drink. let's just say ghetto bar. anyways stayed there for an hour and went home.

saturday-
went to the mall w/angel and belle. we looked for the vases and found it at benfranklin. tried to look for angel's shoes but couldn't find. went to ross and i ended up buying angel an outfit. came home around 530 and we were locked out so went to belle's house early and stayed till 1130 because we had dinner w/my cuzins there. i was so tired when i came home i just slept.

Shopping at Target

angel and i went out because i had to go to the bank and of course, i've wanted to stop by Target on grand canyon & flamingo. angel needs some winter clothes and shoes. i was just browsing around and i found some cute stuffs for her and i took some photos with my cell phone. we bought her pink suede knee high boots at walmart and of course, Target i found nicer ones. since it's still hot in vegas, after we get back from maui in october, vegas will be cooler and then we'll go winter fashion shopping. this is one of the things i like living here on the mainland, the cold weather and winter fashion. it's more of my style. anyways, as i was looking at the shoes and clothes for me, i actually want to get some of them over there. i even took photos of it. they actually have some popular brands like converse, mossimo and isaac mirzahi. then i headed over to the cosmetics aisle because i love makeup. i stopped by Sonia Kashuk makeup line to check out the brushes and makeup and what the price range was. it's a good price and i love the brushes. she has 2 different ones which is all black and white w/silver. i want to get both but the black does not have a set like the white one. the white one comes with case or bag so it's good. i heard that her brushes were just as good as expensive ones from mac or sephora.

Retail vs. e-tail

today angel and i went to our church because we had an appointment to set up the baptism. im so glad it's done. they just need to wait on pj's letter from his church. anyways, since my friend can't be there on the day of the baptism, i need a proxy for her and i chose my mother in law because im not sure if the people i invited will actually be there. after that, we went to meadows mall because it was nearby. i thought forever21 was there but it wasn't. it's funny how i go to the mall and i still have to look at the mall map. i just don't go there often because its far. anyways, so i went to macy's. i miss shopping at macy's. i love going into the store and seeing the visual merchandising they style the dressform. the colors that are in are definitely like fuschia, teal, dark purple. those colors are kinda gothic like to me, but it's definitely in for this season. next to macys, was charlotte russe and i was tempted to buy something but i decided i want to buy something at forever21 at fashion show mall because i love forever21. i've been there customer since i was 16. anyways, they had victorias secret the lingerie store and the pink store. all my 3 favorites were next to each other so i know where to go when i go there again.
my thoughts on retail vs. e-tail is that i like both but i love shopping online because you can find more things that you wouldn't see in the store. however, going in a store, you can find some better deals and you can try on the outfit before you buy it. for me, i pretty much know what my size is which is small. i buy things online all the time because i like getting things in the mail plus, i can't really shop because my baby is always with me, so i can just look at it. well that's my opinion on that.

also, yesterday we went to walgreens and i bought Milani cosmetics. i bought an eyeshadow and double eyeliner pencil. i haven't tried it yet, but i know it should be good. thanks to ms.vanessa at necessarymakeup.com for her excellent photo product reviews and tutorials. and i bought angel pink initial pens that light up. they were pretty cute but unnecessary spending. well that's all for now. i know i should be putting some pics here, but i will soon though.

Makeup Art

i was up till almost 4 am this morning because i was working on a project for angel's party. i had to redo the bday invite because i have to order it and send it to my mom. i went to walmart and did the 1 hour photo to see the print sample and it was awful so im just going to order through winkflash.com. i still have so much to do. well since i stayed home all day today, i decided to have a makeup art session. i didn't take pictures of it, but i just wanted to experiment my makeup palettes since i finally made my own mixing medium. it definitely does make a difference with the mixing medium. so today, i experimented with silver and green look and blues look. the colors really made my eyes popped. i have yet, to mix up different colors. lately, i've been going through some of my mags and looking at the pics of celebs, models to recreate some looks. i've been also researching some beauty schools in las vegas because i want to get my license in esthetics. its skincare and makeup program. im thinking of going next year. i hope that they have night classes because i can work during the day. for me, its business and art. anything with art, i am interested to do, but i must say i love fashion designing. it's important to me what i wear whenever i go out. it's your first impression to someone. i just became so addicted to beauty products recently when i started selling them and have more time on my hands. well im becoming so broke because i pretty much have to buy at least one beauty product whenever i go out. well i don't have pics right now. i'll post some of my new makeup haul.

Hello world!

I havent posted a blog and I've been wanting to but for some reason, when I look at the time, its already past 12 am so i don't blog everyday as I would like. anyways, I have been working on editing angel's invites and all i have to do is get it printed. also, i've been stressing out with planning the baptismal because we need paperwork before making an appointment and set the date. when i finally have all the paperwork, i can make the appointment, set the date, plan the luncheon location. it's most likely the 4th saturday of the month because next week is way too soon. as much as i want to get it over with but it would be best to prepare a lil bit longer. and whats best after that, is we'll be in Maui 5 days later. im so excited. i did start a lil packing. all im bringing is one large baggage because they will be charging me $15. that sucks! also, i have to work on the video slideshow. i won't complete it here because ill be adding the new pics of angel w/family in hawaii. so ill just put half for now.

anyways, i finally found another place to do business besides my website, blogs, forums. i'm really going to focus on what i really want my business to sell and grow and its fashion and beauty. i'm such an addict. and i love it, i live it, i enjoy it. updates, everythings is pretty much slow, because im doing it all by myself and i have other things to do. hopefully after my vacation, i can really focus. im going to make this happen as if i didn't have a choice so it gets somewhere.

Angel's baptismal

me & j went to a baptism class at our church because we had to go so we can baptize our lil angel this month. i can't believe how fast she's growing. anyways, the class was for only 30 min and then we received a baptism certificate after the class then we went home. i need to give the church office a call to make an appointment so we know exactly when the date is going to be for her baptism. they are asking a lot of stuffs from us. also we have to be there at 845 am. im still sleeping! but we have to. im looking forward to it. angel got her dress and shoes. it's white of course. i wanted to wear white too, but im going to wear something that will make me pop out of the group. nothing super bright but just not a normal color i would wear. got home and ate some dinner while watching the new premiere of "90210" i would say that it's not as good as the original but ill keep watching. anyways, its 1201 am and i need to work on a project: angel's party. so much planning and only 1 month and half to go.

Shopping Sale

i havent blogged for 2 days. here's the updates: J picked up the mail late at 12 am on monday. i know right? but it actually arrived on saturday. as you can tell, we are so late on picking up mail sometimes. anyways, ive got the sample pics from my winkflash.com order. i ordered prints of what the invites would look like before i actually did the final print orders. i did it in matte/glossy and 2 sizes. overall, im going with the 5x7 in matte for the birthday invite and glossy in 4x6 for the baptism invite. as for the photo magnet, i need to find somewhere that will print out right. as much as i would like to share with everyone the designs i made, i dont want to spoil it just yet. i know i need to get it done, because my mom needs it by next week at least. so ill be working on my design project for angel's party. omg, one month from now id be at the airport with angel heading to hawaii. i am super excited! its going to be hard for me traveling alone with her, but i have no choice, J can't make it because he has to work.

anyways, since it was labor day, of course, there's a shopping sale. well we went to savers because that's where J likes to shop. i bought stuffs but i will not buy clothes or shoes for me or my baby. i just have this superstition about who used to own it. however, i did buy books and housewares. i bought 5 books and got 1 of them for free. book prices ranges from 50 cents to $1.50. what a steal! and i bought these photo frame glass coasters for $1.50 and 4 glass bowls for $2.50. i just love glass especially the crystal clear ones. that's pretty much it.

we also went grocery shopping at food 4 less and of course, i knew that ELF products were sold there and i just had to get some. you had to pick 10 for $10. of course i did. i got me 7 brushes and 3 lip glosses. i ordered some of their products last month. i love the eyeshadow brush and lip gloss. they had several eye shadow quads but i already have 3 makeup palettes so i didn't get them. anyways, overall, it was a good day.

FYI: im a GG(gossip girl) and OTH (one tree hill) fan and the new season came out on CW. i missed some part of GG because i was interrupted. but when OTH came on i was loving it. i knew that Lucas was going to pick Peyton to marry. well i did watch the spoiler on youtube but i knew it before. they are just meant to be. and of course, the hills, i really like this show but its the last season. i love LC hairstyles. i am going to recreate that look on me. its something fun, cute and casual. well that's all for now.

Fashion + Makeup

i went to Fashion Show Mall today because i wanted to try on this dress i've been eyeing out online that i may want to buy for a special event either for my baby's baptismal or first birthday party. there's only 2 colors to choose from but im really not sure which one i really want to get. of course, there's black and i'm always wearing that color that i just wanted to wear a color that is not black for once. well black is one of my fave colors, it goes with everything. i still have a week to decide. of course my shoes definitely w/heel cuz im a shorty. i don't know if im going with boots or tstrap sandal.


on another note, i just got an email from one of the makeup suppliers and they have the makeup in stock. im super excited! im getting me a couple of them that i didn't receive yet. they have some beauty products i definitely want to purchase, but i need to buy a storage place for my makeup supplies because i just don't have enough space in this lil 1 bedroom apartment. i so want to live in a house already!!! well we still got 6 months on this lease. sucks! anyways, im waiting for my new makeup brushes that i ordered. i could have just got it at the store, but i like getting stuffs in the mail.

no pics posted today, ill post them once i receive my things that i talked about. only a month left before our maui trip which means i need to get my stuffs prepared. i got so much to do. well at least i got 2 weeks before the party to get any of the things for angel's party.

Nails

I did my manicure today because I previously had Hot PINK tips and I felt it wasn't appropriate for my interview this morning at 11 am, so I overlay white and it didn't look good. I got home this afternoon and had it redone. Instead of the french style, I decided to overlay it Hot PINK and when I looked at it, it looked plain=boring! so I top coated with purple and silver glitter nail polish. It looks so much better now.

-N.Y.C. Pink Promenade Creme nail polish
-Petites Comet nail polish (purple/silver glitter)
-Nailene Acrylic Strong Top coat

FYI: it's my real nails. i don't really like using artificial nails or tips, I like to keep my nails natural and i don't want to spend 30-50 just to get them done unless it was for a really really special occasion. also, i am such a nail art addict. i have my mani-pedi every 2-3 days because of my addiction in art, my nail polish collection has grown.

This is my first post on blogger.com. I decided to open a new account because I found some good reads and wanted to share my RANDOMness LIFE here in SIN CITY a.k.a. Las Vegas. Anyways, I just received my new Pink CHI Hair Iron in the mail, which I am selling online. It's one of the best selling items I've sold. Also, I had a gift card so I wanted to spend it online at Forever21. I received my order today. It's 3 pairs of earrings.

My thoughts: This has been in trend for awhile, but usually you see it in gold. Inspired by CC Skye Gold Bamboo Hoop earrings worn by Hilary Duff.




Also, I finally used my eyeshadow palette today. I used silver and blue color.
